Summertime Old Time Dancing

The club was formed in 1998 by Richard Purcell and Joyce Hutchins. We meet Monday afternoons at the Normandy Village Hall, Glaziers Lane, Normandy, Surrey, GU3 2DD between 1.45 – 4.15 pm and enjoy the company of 20-30 dancers each week.

The Hall is a modern building with ample parking and a large suspended wood floor (which is kind to the knees and hips).

The Club specialises in Old Time Dances of all ages and as well as the Traditional Old Time Dances we also teach some of the newer Classical Old Time Dances providing they closely conform to the Old Time technique.  Recent dances taught have included the Regency Tango, Tiger Eye Tango and the County Gavotte 2014.

Richard is a life member of the UKA and ISTD and Richard is a former Chairperson of the Old Time Dance Society.
